Man sagt die meisten sind nur einen Lohnzettel davon entfernt obdachlos zu werden. Im Falle von Ed Barnard, dem Mastermind hinter der Doom/Sludge/Psychedelic/Stoner/Sludge Metal Website DOOMANTIA, war es eine Rechnung über 10.000 Dollar für eine medizinische Behandlung.

Laut letztem Stand auf seiner Website war Ed in der Tat obdachlos in Washington, und pendelte zwischen Zelt und gegebenenfalls einem Motelzimmer. Irgendwie schafft er es trotzdem Record-Reviews u.ä. auf seiner Seite zu veröffentlichen, dank der Hilfe von Sally Bethall, Gefährtin im "Untergang" (Anm. d. Redaktion: engl. Doom - Wortspiel)
